Who is The Budding Perfumer?
The Budding Perfumer is Liam Moore, a creative designer and artist from Northern Ireland, that’s me.
I’ve long been crafting digital experiences and online presences for close to four years now. As of the last two, I’ve had an awesome awakening in perfumery–an explosion if you will. It’s as if this interest, curiosity and sheer passion has been waiting patiently until the right time, the time I realised, I need to use my passion and creative nature together, to become a perfumer.
What's my story?
I’ve spent the last year and a half researching a way into the industry, looking at courses, workshops and internships.
I read books and practice blending in my spare time. However, I feel a little lost, like I’m never truly sure what I’m doing, where I’m supposed to go, how to develop my learning or how to push myself forward.
Why should you care?
A craft as technical and artistic as perfumery is best taught from a Master to an Apprentice—like the days of yore when a student showed signs of vision and promise. I learn best from an instructor or teacher.
I would ask you to guide me, instruct me, help me and educate me to better myself, whether it be via email, letter, or in person. In exchange I will design anything for you that merits the same weight as your effort. Think of it like bartering. No money, but a trade for a trade. A complete website? A blog? A brand? A logo? A business card?
How exactly will this work?
My best offer will be as good as yours. I don’t believe it’s exactly quantifiable what I’m proposing, but I’d like to think it’s possible for two people to help each other.
I’ll be living in and around the London area from August/September 2011. If you live anywhere in the country, I’d love to meet up and we can talk things through in person. If you live further afield we can arrange something via email or post.
